Today, Apple released its much anticipated iPad and as a poker player, one of the first questions that came to my mind was, "Can I play real money online poker on this thing?" Thankfully the answer is "Yes".
As expected, Apple has not opened up its' App Store to online poker, but there is a way to play on your favorite site without hacking your device, and it's actually quite simple.
The secret lies in an app called "Jaadu". Jaadu is a program that allows remote connection to your home computer over the internet. That means, no matter where you are (as long as you have a connection) you can access your computer's desktop. From there, it's easy. Just load up your favorite poker site and tap to play poker. The app features everything you need to play a game of poker including keyboard support.
One dollar is all you need to have a shot at a Main Event bracelet this year at the World Series of Poker. Full Tilt Poker is running seat qualifiers each Sunday from April 4th through June 27th at 1:30 ET. Each tournament will guarantee 5 Main Event packages.
The prize package includes:
$10K Main Event buy-in

You can buy in directly for $1 + $0.10, or satellite your way in for as little as $0.30 or 30 Full Tilt Points. Sure, you'll have to be at the top of you game to navigate through the 50,000+ player field, but imagine if you came out on top.
PokerStars has long been recognized as the place to go for well-run, well-structured tournaments. The reputation has made WCOOP, SCOOP, and the Sunday Million appointment poker for the world's online players. And so this morning we were left with a "Huh?" look on our face for a while. Something is screwy in the PokerStars tournament lobby.
One tournament is a $2.20 tourney with 8-cent rebuys for an additional 888 chips. The time bank is 8 seconds. Blinds start at 88/88. And then they go to 888/888? And then they eventually move up to 88,888/88,888 and never change.
Other Tournaments:
Blinds entirely made up of the number 8
Blinds that start 1,500/3,000 and go down until they hit 100/200
A PLH/PLO mix with no discernible structure at all
It seems the tournament organizers are running their own little private contest to see who can create the most ridiculous tournament and then get the most people to play it.
So, while today is April 1, the tourneys are for real.
If you'd like to be a little foolish, just do a searching for "Foolishness" in the PokerStarsTournament-All lobby and look for the pretty pink tournaments.
Have you ever wanted to own shares in a poker pro? Have you ever wanted to raise funds to play in a high stakes tournament? Well now you can.
There is a new site available through PokerNews.com called ChipMeUp that allows you to do both. You can buy shares in anyone, and if they cash you get a percentage of their winnings. It's that easy. It's possible to buy a $1 share and get a return of $1,000's. Or, you can post an event of you own and raise funds to lower the variance.
There are hundreds of poker pros selling and buying shares at ChipMeUp. Why not join them?
